A Complete guide: How to apply for Pan Card in Bangalore?

Pan Card is a permanent account number issued by Income Tax Department. If you earn and pays Income tax to the Government, having a PAN Card is a must. Applying for a PAN Card seems a tedious task but this article will give you complete information about it from how to apply to what all documents you required.

 

Step by step process-

Download the form:

You could visit the official Web sites of the Income Tax department. Go on to the section Forms/Downloads. Scroll down and download the form no 49A for applying to Pan Card.

Capture

Complete the documents:

After downloading the forms, Complete your documents which you need to submit at the time of form submission.

Proof of identity (any one) :

Passport
Voter’s ID
Driving license
School leaving certificate
Matriculation certificate
Degree from a recognized educational institution
Depository account
Credit card
Bank account
Water bill
Ration card
Property tax assessment order

Proof of residence (anyone):

Passport
Voter’s ID

Submission of Form:

Fill in the application form and submit it in at any of the IT PAN service centers or TIN facilitation centers along with the fees. You can find out the nearest center on the official Income Tax Website. If you have filled the form correctly, within a month, you can receive a new PAN Card.

Form filling Help : You will need a recent color photograph (stamp size: 3.5 cm x 2.5 cm) to attach on the form.

You must mention the code and designation of the concerned Assessing Officer of the Income Tax department in Form 49A. You can get this from the IT PAN service centers on the official website of Income Tax Department.

If you have not received the Pan Card in a month or so, you don’t need to panic. There is a central office in the Income Tax Department in charge of allotting these numbers in every city. If it is lost, you can file for a duplicate, Pan Card.
